  • December 24:
    Monsignor Jacques Perrier will inaugurate the Holy Year in Lourdes (march from the parish of the Sacred Heart to the Sanctuaries) and also the Celebration of the Christmas Festivities.
  • December 31:
    A common vigil will be proposed at the Sanctuaries, in the city of Saint Peter in the Parish and the town of Lourdes.
  • January 1: Feast of Mary, Mother of God
    At 1:00 a.m., Monsignor Jacques Perrier will hold the first mass of the millennium in the grotto.

  • February 11:
    Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, world day of the sick, Jubilee of the sick the holy (with television link between Rome and Lourdes).

    The feasts of Palms and Easter in the Sanctuaries will be the occasion of great celebrations along the esplanade of the Rosary and in the underground Basilica of Saint Pius X. In Tarbes Cathedral, Monsignor Jacques Perrier will preside over the Chrismal Mass.

June 18 - 25, 2000
  • June 18: Trinity Sunday
  • June 25: Holy Sacrament
    The celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the Beatification of Saint Bernadette.
    At the same time in Rome there will be the International Eucharistic conference.
The Week of Mary
Auguest 11 - 15, 2000
    A week of jubilee celebrations in Lourdes. The week will count on the presence of Cardinals Schonborn (Archbishop of Vienna), Lustiger (Archbishop of Paris), and Danneels (Archbishop of Malines - Brussels).
Night of Peace and Solidarity for the Young
August 13 - 14, 2000
  • Presence in the Sanctuaries of the young on route for the J.M.J. of the year 2000 in Rome.
  • Pilgrimage of the Assumption
    The family of the assumption will celebrate 150 years since its foundation.
