1	Feast of the Pokrov (Mary who protects) (Marian patronage for the Slavish Byzantine Church) 1962: Pope John XXIII visited the Shrine of the Holy House of Loreto on the vigil of the Second Vatican Council.
2	1629: Death of Cardinal Pierre de Berulle, who studied the Incarnation deeply. His writings contributed to a better understanding of the mystery of Mary.
4	Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, great devotee of Mary
5	Feast of Our Lady of Zapopan, Mexico. See: The Mary Page 869: Beginning of the eighth council in Constantinople that further strengthened the veneration of the Holy Images, especially those of Christ, Mary, and the saints. 1926: Death of Bartolo Longo, a lawyer who established Italy's national shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary in Pompei, replicated in several countries. see: Bl. 7	Memorial of the Rosary established by Pope Pius V in gratitude for the Christian victory in the sea battle near Lepanto on October 7, 1571. Victory attributed to praying the rosary.
8	Memorial of the Regent Mother of Hungary, Mary, the chief patroness of Hungary. Feast of Our Lady of Begonia, Spain 2000: Consecration of the third millennium to the Most Blessed Virgin Mother of God by Pope John Paul II. See: Prayer
10	1666: Dedication of the city of Luxemburg to Mary, Consolation of the Afflicted.

12	Feast of Mary of the Pillar (in Saragossa, Spain) and the founding feast of the Society of Mary (Marianists) by Blessed William Joseph Chaminade. 1618: Death of the Servant of God, Fr. Jakob Rem, S.J., founder of the Colloquium Marianum, an elite Marian Sodality in Ingolstadt, Germany.
13	1318: Pope John XXII approved the custom of reciting the Hail Mary (the forerunner of the Angelus) at the curfew hour. 1917: Final apparition of Mary in Fatima. Mary described herself as Queen of the Rosary, admonished for reparation, and confirmed her words with the miracle of the sun observed by thousands of people.
16	Feast of Mary's Purity. 1419: Dedication of the Marian cathedral in Milan.
17	1917: St. Maximilian Kolbe, OFM, founded the "Crusade of the Immaculate Virgin Mary" in Rome. The members dedicated themselves to Mary in total consecration. The cathedrals dedicated to Mary in Reims, Chartres, and Citeaux celebrate their patronage.
18	Feast of Our Lady of the Garden of Myrrh (Ethiopian Church) 1914: Foundation of the pilgrimage place, Schoenstatt, by Father Joseph Kentenich near the Rhine River in Germany, which soon became the center of a worldwide Marian movement.
19	1947: The Archbishop of Ottawa crowned a traveling Fatima statue and introduced a fifty-day pilgrimage through seven dioceses and more than one hundred churches. Mary is officially given the title "Protector of Catholic Action."
20	1646: Dedication of Portugal to Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception by King John IV.
21	1956: In the Cathedral of Strasburg dedication of the donated Europe window as a symbol of the longing for unity and peace by the council of the United Nations of Europe. 1979: Pope John Paul II makes a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Victory in Pompeii.
22	Feast of the Mother of God of Kazan in Russia.
23	1311: The Church of St. Mary of Loreto mentioned for the first time in official penal acts.
24	Feast of the Consolation of the Afflicted (Russia). Feast of Our Lady of La Regla (Cuba).
26	1495: First approval of Alexander VI for the Sodality of the Seven Sorrows.
31	1942: Pope Pius XII consecrated the whole world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
