Mary and the Old Testament

This course studies the principal Old Testament texts with reference to Mary and the history of salvation. A special emphasis
will be given to the Protoevangelium, symbols and types such as New Eve, Hannah, Daughter of Zion, Ark of the Covenant,
etc. The course will further show how some of these symbols and figures impacted on the New Testament and the apocryphal
literature.
