Medjugorje Update
In a declaration on the Church's
investigation into Medjugorje, Cardinal Vinko Puljic, Archbishop of Sarajevo,
confirmed in a March 21, 2008, interview published in the Croatian newspaper,
Vecernji list, what had long been suspected: this investigation is being
directly managed by the Holy See itself. "Our Bishops' Conference has not
discussed this matter, because the phenomenon of Medjugorje does not come within
our competence," said Cardinal Puljic. "At the moment when the Holy See
makes the decision and gives a task, we shall think about what do do."
