The Holy Mother, as omnipresent,
stands on the crescent moon,
surrounded by roses and fairies.

Mary appears alone, in a simple veil and a dress of floral beads, standing on the moon.  As the moon is dependent on the sun for its light, so Mary is dependent on Christ for her grace.  With downcast eyes, she humbly accepts the homage of the fairies who offer her rose bouquets and garlands.
